Lind & Felling can provide clients with the necessary legal advice to help small or large business owners maintain strength during both strong and weak economic times.

If you are just starting a business, contact us first and we can help you through the advantages and disadvantages of the different kinds of business structures that match your goals, needs and desires. Lind & Felling has years of experience assisting business owners in the Wabash Valley with a wide variety of legal advice regarding issues that arise in: starting a new business; throughout operations thereof; and the purchase or sale of existing businesses.

Civil Litigation

Civil litigation is where unresolved issues go to trial. This broad area includes litigation of disputes between organizations or individuals including negligence, contract disputes, real estate disputes, or trust and estate disputes, as well as a variety of issues where 2 or more sides cannot agree. Lind & Felling often can help our clients settle their disputes and receive any compensation rightfully owed to them or settle claims others may have raised against our clients outside of court, but if you do need to go to trial (also known as litigation), we will zealously, but respectfully represent only your interests. If you find yourself in a dispute, our team will ensure you that you know your legal rights and we will work on your behalf to work to protect your rights while keeping you abreast of options to consider through each stage of the dispute resolution or trial process.

Real Estate Law

Lind & Felling handles all of your real estate needs, including the purchase or sale of residential or commercial properties. Within that framework, we will serve your legal needs during negotiations, identify needed improvements, finalize contracts, and advise you on any title issues involved. Our other areas of expertise include representation of the property owner in landlord/tenant disputes and drafting loan and mortgage documents as well as deeds and purchase contracts. Lind & Felling can review complicated legal documents, seek needed revisions and advise you on the implications of the complex contracts financial institutions now present to their borrowers. Lind & Felling will ensure your legal rights are represented and protected during all of your real estate transactions.

Mediation

As mediators, Lind & Felling acts as a neutral intermediary that can assist in resolving disputes as an alternative to the courtroom. Over the last 20 years, mediation has proved to be an effective problem solving tool successfully resolving disputes short of the often times expensive and disruptive courtroom litigation involved in trials. Jeffry A. Lind is a registered civil mediator and the law office at 400 Ohio has ample conference rooms and wi-fi access for participants.
